Duprey

"We are very dependent
on tourism here in the North
Country. It will be wonderfu l to have this cultural center
in the hub of the village."

"We talk about the rebirth of
a small community and this is a perfect example. I've never
been in this building before.
It is beautiful. It represents
a terrific future for
Au Sable Forks."

Sue Pulitzer, Chair, Au Sable Forks Revitalization Group
The Revitalization Group heartily supports their plan, not only to rehabilitate this landmark building but to use it as the centerpiece of a greater effort to breathe new life into our community through the arts and cultural awareness.

The village of Au Sable Forks has enormous potential to serve as an example of what is possible in the realm of rural redevelopment. Directly situated on the corridor between Montreal and the High Peaks region, our small Adirondack town has historically served as the commercial center for neighboring communities.

We understand that cultural life is vital to the growth of a community. We are also aware that there is a groundswell of support for the arts in many quarters, from the many city folk who visit as tourists and have vacation and weekend homes in the area to the natives and newcomers who hunger for cultural enrichment and travel far and wide to find it. Local parents have been traveling many miles for years to avail themselves of opportunities to nurture their childrens’ creative abilities.
