ONSTAGE 2012

DANCE PERFORMANCE SUMMER DAY CAMP -pure fun to pre-professional.
Directed by Rebecca Kelly Ballet, ONSTAGE provides dance training, rehearsing and performance. Since 1989, the program has been conducted at the beautiful Lake Placid Center for the Arts in Lake Placid, deep in the Northern Adirondack Park, in New York State. The two-week program is offered in July each summer.

Since 2003 ONSTAGE has been offered as a one-week intensive program at SUNY Potsdam, NY, concluding with a student performance, and a highlight presentation by RKB professionals.

New venues hosts are welcome and we encourage you to contact us and work together to design a program that suits your community. ONSTAGE is open to all ages, for boys and girls, from the beginner to advanced - ballet or modern student. RKB offers a 1/2 day, a Plus Program, and Full Day Intern program. Daily advanced level classes and Specialty classes are offered to students open to the general public while the Company is in residence.

JUST GET MOVING!

All students learn dances and participate in classesspecially tailored to develop and challenge their skills. The camp concludes with a morning and evening public performance. For summer schedule, locations, registration forms, current prices, contact RKB between February and June.

Half Day program: Beginners to Intermediates, ages 6 to 13 years meet for the 1/2 day mostly mornings program, between 9-12 or 12:30-3pm. Schedule varies with location and on within the week.

Half Day PLUS option: Ages 10-14, includes all the activities of Onstage, PLUS 2 classes with the Intern program, and 2 extended days.

Participation in the Plus Program for a minimum of two years, before acceptance into the Intern program. Or students must be taking additional on-going dance classes during the year to meet the expectations of the Intern level dance classes.

Full Day program for
Interns: ages 13-20+ years (minimum 3+ years of dance training twice or more/ week within the past 4 years, or age 14, with three previous OnStage and currently taking bi-weekly classes). Classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Theatrics, Conditioning, Partnering. This is a rigorous program, 9am-3:30pm. Students are divided according to experience and ability on first day after placement class. Each summer program varies on emphasis in Modern or Ballet depending upon student backgrounds. Contact the Company directly for information about the Residency Program, for ages 17 and up.

ONSTAGE SUMMER APPRENTICE
In some years, one student, age 18-21, is selected to apprentice with the Company while it is in residence during its ONSTAGE program. The apprentice participates in all activities of the day camp between 9-3:30pm (technique classes, learning choreography, public performance) and also takes Company class, understudies repertory, assist teaches, and lives with the company. Depending upon ability and at the sole discretion of the Artistic Director, some apprentices have performed with the Company. To be considered, dancer must send resume, brief audition video, and $25, with letter application in April -May. Description

In the heart of the High Peaks region in Lake Placid, RKB offers a Public Performance during the last week of its Artists-in-Residence. Here at the beautiful Lake Placid Center for the Arts, is a chance to see RKB's freshest previews and repertory works for the season. Tickets must be reserved in advance.
